| Hey there, people,
I am taking a break from my large project that is due in a week. Plus I
have to write a 750 word personal prose for my writing class. I am not
all that excited to write about my experiences and then share to a
class of strangers, but I am stretching myself. I am waiting for my
pizza to cook in the oven. I love pizza for breakfast. Ok, time to get
back to work, take care.

| So three weeks have passed since I started student teaching and I am currently on spring break. I am still alive and I am currently regrouping my teaching strategies so I will be armed and ready for what those three boys may do in class. I think I will definitely relax and rest this week while reading some children's literature for my classroom. I am amazed to see how many children's books there are and how many of them are not the best literature to use in the classroom.
I just finished teaching my themed literature unit, finding a place to belong. I felt that the students needed to know what it means and how one can be proactive to find a place to belong. Students have not been the best of friends in the classroom and especially with a new student in the classroom, I wanted the students to take personal responsibility in helping one another. I had the class read these books: (they are awesome books!)
Grandfather's journey, Tea with Milk, Allison (adopted asian child in a caucasian family), El Chino (a Chinese American who wanted to be a bullfighter in Spain) and Stranger in the mirror (a young boy turned into his grandfather- ageism)

Ok, back to writing some application stuff. Take care.
| So I'm back. I have been MIA due to the massive amounts of writing and teaching this past two quarters. So I am currently finished with the schoolwork stuff and now I am ready to start student teaching. I am starting on Monday and I have had 2 dreams about the start of it. So many thoughts going through my mind. I'm excited but then again, my whole future in teaching is defined by this moment. All my reference letters and experience from student teaching will be valued higher than my previous preschool experience. So I take a deep breath and I look forward to what God has in store for me for the next 12 weeks. Enjoy the list.

| Yes, I am posting again. Wow, it's been only three days since the last one. Well, today was my first day of classes. It was a little overwhelming but then again, it's grad school. We had to wear name tags and then we had a few discussions on public education. Oh, we also have to give a 3 minute introduction to the class. The worst part about that is that we have to do a gesture/hand motion that represents us. So after every lunch break, 10 people give their intros. I think I might go tomorrow so I can get it over with quick.
On another note, I am at my apartment right now on my laptop using a unsecured wireless connection. Hmm.... should I feel guilty?
Back to studying, bye. | | |
| Good morning, everyone.
Well, it's been a while since I last posted. The nanny job took more out of me than I thought. So this past Tuesday was my last day. We went to Chuck E Cheese to commemorate this big day. We had a lot of fun hanging out, eating pizza and just playing games. It was fun watching them play the car racing video game. Both of them are not normal American heights, so I had to press the gas pedal for them. I wish I took a picture.
So we are cleaning up the greenwood house. In a few days, we will all be moved out and into our new locations. I start grad school on Monday, Aug 29th. How exciting. More reading, writing and learning. Ok, back to reading the required texts before school starts.
